Lessons
Life can be incredibly beautiful, but also it can be shocking and devastating, recently I can count many world events that have caused a huge loss of life. Shootings, suicide bombings, floods, wildfires and building fires causing so much loss, devastation and pain all piled one on top of the other with little time to regain footing in between.
I constantly just think that we are just gonna take each other out, one by one.
I fall into a spiral of anger, frustration and feeling myself questioning the news. I want to pull my cloak over my head, hiding away safe. People are screwed up, and nature is ultimately in control, and there’s nothing I can do about it except wallow and whine about how no one’s doing anything about it.
My fear slowly passes, along comes hope as we listen to continual tales of resilience, courage, and survival. Amazing stories of heroism, selflessness, and grace.
We remember that life is only about the people around us and that it’s all, and always, about love. Nations and neighbours come together as one, we are all in this together.
Horrific events keep happening, the amount steadily increasing with more and more radical manners.
It takes shock to knock us out of our hypnotic day-to-day life, it takes shock for us to start questioning why we’re here and what it’s all about, the small minority feeling lucky to be alive.
Miracles are not as extraordinary as we are led to believe, they happen all the time. It just often takes extraordinary events for us to see them now.
It is within our power and responsibility to work together, we have to focus on our future looking positively bright.
